The MPR Partners and Squire Patton Boggs LLP consortium was ranked first in the selection process carried out by the Romanian Ministry of Public Finance in order to contract assistance and representation in international investment arbitration performed according to UNCITRAL provisions.

Situated on the first place out of the total of six associations of firms selected to provide legal services, the consortium including MPR Partners benefits from the vast experience of its founding partners Gelu Maravela and Alina Popescu, involved throughout their careers in numerous ICSID and UNCITRAL investment arbitrations, such as for instance the first ICSID arbitration won by Romania, namely Noble Ventures, Inc. v. MPR Partners contributed for yet another edition to the Romania chapter of the State Aid 2019 Guide of Legoloxy – Getting the Deal Through.
