There are no right words to express our utmost regret for losing an amazing person, a close friend, a real mentor and an excellent professional such as Co-Managing Partner Marius Pătrăşcanu. He founded this firm, with his immense passion and dedication, never being too busy to give a hand, never being too sad to smile and address a good word. He is one of the reasons we are where and what we are today. We were blessed and fortunate to have had a chance to have him amongst us, and he will forever be remembered. Our hearts go to Marius’s family and friends, and we would like to express our greatest thanks to all of our clients and business partners who knew Marius and who showed their full support and sympathy.

Marius Pătrășcanu has established a wide-ranging practice focused on mergers & acquisitions, commercial and corporate matters, as well as real estate & construction and IT & telecom. Marius has worked for some of the largest corporations in the US, Europe and Asia, having advised on a high number of complex matters, spanning corporate structuring and re-structuring, incorporated and unincorporated joint ventures, asset deals and shares deals, including insolvency and corporate finance & securitization related aspects. Marius’s corporate and mergers & acquisitions practice is complemented by his real estate expertize, in respect of which he has advised clients on high profile projects, having dealt with all legal aspects involved ranging from due diligence, permitting, deal structuring, financing & securitization, real estate development, construction and operation. Marius is also advising on IT & Telecom matters, having an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the facts and legal framework regulating this niched area. He has advised some of the world’s leading technology companies in various regulatory and compliance matters, as well as specific commercial aspects, having gained a notable practical expertize in the field.

One of the world largest producers of mobile phones, in connection to the development of a manufacturing plant in Romania. Legal work included specific due diligence, real estate, corporate, regulatory and compliance matters, contractual arrangements, strategic alliances and commercial related matters, as well as permitting aspects;
A global pharmaceuticals and medical devices group in connection with the corporate restructuring following a major acquisition, entailing an intra-group transfer of business and the closing down of the Romanian representative office;
A reputed German group with regard to a complex acquisition of three businesses as going concern from the largest railway wagon manufacturers, including specific due diligences enquiries, corporate matters, financing, regulatory, contractual arrangements, insolvency and restructuring matters;
A major real estate developer, in connection with a complex, fast pace exit from a Romanian partnership performed via a transfer of assets against shares in the project company; mandate included performance of high-level due diligence, legal structuring of the exit, the drafting and negotiation of the related agreements and enforcement of the same;
A global oil and gas company, in connection with the development of a network of gas stations in Romania; mandate included due diligence on a large number of properties, designing transaction structure to ensure a quick and cost-effective process, the drafting and negotiation of the relevant agreements;
The world leading agriculture company, in connection with several corporate operations, including several complex share capital increases amounting to over USD 120,000,000; mandate included advising on strategy and relevant procedures, coordinating the cross-border corporate process, drafting relevant documentation for the Romanian entity and representation before relevant authorities;
